Hawks Stun Kings

I saw history being made when the Blackhawks defeated the Kings in a 4-3 thriller. It was the first time in 30 years that the Blackhawks swept the season series from the Kings. (The Blackhawks swept all four games played between the two teams.) Jonathan Toews, the Chicago captain, scored the winning goal with just over five minutes remaining. He was expected to miss two weeks of games because of an injury, but came back after missing only two games. Patrick Sharp, the Hawks leading scorer, pucked two goals and was voted the star of the game. The game was close all the way, with neither team ever holding more than a one goal lead. The Kings started out like they would blow the Blackhawks off the ice, outshooting them 13-2 for the first half of the first period. But once the Hawks regained their footing, they more than held their own against the unlucky Kings.
